It seems like forever since I have been in our house. We got back from San Francisco and I almost immediately went into the hospital. I have never been so happy to lie on the couch in my own house. I was a little nervous about coming home, because things have been going so well in the hospital, but now that I’m here, I know everything is going to be fine. Plus, I can sleep in my own bed, have access to fresh air anytime I want it, and I can see my wonderful, doting husband every day, which is the best gift of all.
We stopped at CVS on the way home and got an automatic BP cuff that looks veeerrrry similar to Bumpa’s so that I can monitor my pressures from home. I will go into the clinic on Tuesdays and Fridays for NSTs, labs, and ultrasounds. (NSTs twice a week, labs and ultrasounds once a week.) The best part is that, as long as my BPs remain as stable as they have been, delivery won’t be until 37 weeks!! I couldn’t be happier about that. So really, anytime between April 19 and May 10 will be potential birth day. If (and when) my BPs increase, I will be readmitted for BP meds and delivery at 34 weeks. So. That’s the plan. And I think it’s a good one.
And, as Rob says, even if I get two days at home, that’s two days more than I would have had. 🙂
