One Fish, Two Fish

Tide Free April 8, 2008

We washed (ok, Rob washed) the first set of baby clothes tonight! It was a white load with little onesies and baby t-shirts (Mom, the fussy ones that have to be hung to dry, but are SO CUTE!) and the mattress pad. We are using Tide Free detergent without dyes or chemicals, etc. Because we have a high-efficiency washer, we can’t use Dreft — at least until they make an HE version (hint hint, Dreft Corp.!). So no lovely Dreft smell, but it’s better to have no smell and a happy washer than Dreft smell and a sudsy, broken, crabby washer!

Can you believe that in two to five weeks we will have a baby??? Yeah, we can’t either!

I can’t wait to see all the itty bitty clothes folded in the drawer! I’m glad you and Rob are able to get ready for the baby together at home.

    Love you

Are you sure they don’t make HE Dreft? I am pretty positive that I saw it at Target a couple of weeks ago. I go to Target like every other day, and pretty much tithe my paycheck to them, so I’ll double check for you.

I looked on the Dreft website and they said they don’t offer an HE version. They recommended the Tide Free. But if you saw it, I will totally send Rob out on a Dreft HE run! 🙂

(Target is one of my favorite places in the whole world.)

Okay, so the Dreft website isn’t telling falsehoods. Sorry to have gotten your hopes up. I rarely get things wrong, you know. I used Dreft until my freshman year of college and then switched to Tide Free. I missed the smell, but I got over it. And Dreft was way more expensive.

Oh that’s right — you of the sensitive skin. 🙂 I love the smell of Dreft. There’s nothing like it.
