Happy Earth Day! I have such fond memories of Earth Day at Gustavus. It signified that spring was actually here and winter was just a memory. There would be picnics out behind the union and live bands playing all day. People would wear shorts and flip flops, even if it was still a little chilly to expose all that skin. You had to watch the skies for Frisbees, so as not to get clocked in the face. It was great.
Today, Rob and I celebrated Earth Day by voting. We have very much enjoyed being a key voting state for the presidential primary. Barack and Hillary (or one of their tireless volunteers) have called the house almost every day. I was even asked if I could come down to the Obama office to volunteer, which I would have done (Hey, look at me! Community involvement!) if it weren’t for the stupid bed rest.
We are very much looking forward to watching CNN’s coverage of the election tonight to see how our state voted.
