Little Sam has jaundice! We were packing up, getting ready to come home and the nurse came in and said, “Just kidding! Sam has to go under the bili lights for the night.” I couldn’t believe that I didn’t notice how yellow he had turned! His skin, in general, was more red and ruddy (common in jaundice), but his little tongue (which, by the way, is pointy like mine) is so yellow. It’s actually kind of cute — in a your-son-is-jaundiced-so-you-have-to-stay-here-longer kind of way. We’re going to go down and see him and take pictures of him in his movie star house. And, of course, they will be posted later!
I promise I will tell you about the last couple of days from my point of view, but for now, I am going to rest up for the, well, the rest of my life. 🙂 I will tell you that Sam and I were up almost all night last night. He was so alert and wanted to hang out — and I just didn’t want to miss it. He is absolutely beautiful and I swear he changes every minute.
