Rock the Vote — Remember That MTV Campaign? November 4, 2008

Filed under: Pay it Forward,Random Acts of Kindness — leighnut @ 8:07 am

This has been a very long and heated election season. I have refrained from talking about politics on this blog, because it’s a blog about a baby, not the economy, foreign policy, or Joe the Plumber. But today is election day. And you should vote. Go vote. Really. Go now. Don’t put it off until later. The lines are going to be really long, so bring a snack. And maybe a book.

What a great country this is! We’re just back from choosing the people and issues we hope will work towards the best future for our Kim, Matthew, Andrew, and Sam. (Took just 1/2 hour!)

    God bless us, Everyone!

You are in a Battleground state, so I’m glad you are voting. Are you going to take Sam with you? Are you sick of hearing the term Battleground?

Sam and I are on our way to vote now. I’m going to get him registered so his voice can be heard. Well, maybe not. But I’m gonna get him a sticker. 🙂

It was very fun to be in a battleground state — for a while. Now, I am so sick of political ads and phone calls. We got 12 political phone calls last night from 4:00 to 8:00. It’s just sick. We’ve gotten to the point where we talk back to the robo-calls. Just for fun. I expect the lines to be long, so I’m bringing a book.

I have no hope that PA will vote the way I hope, but I am certainly going to cast my ballot and cross all my fingers and toes.
