This week, baby’s job is to keep getting fat. She’s getting less wrinkly by the day (or in our baby’s case, getting more puffy) as we adds fat layers. They’ll help keep her warm until her internal temp-regulating system kicks in. The average 34-weeker weighs 4.75 pounds (like a cantaloupe) and is about 18 inches long. Our baby is probably a whopping 7 pounds by this point. The gestational diabetes has seen to that.

All the baby clothes are washed and will be organized by the end of the week. I haven’t washed any of the newborn-sized clothes, because there’s a good chance she won’t fit into them. So, for now, the 3-month clothes will go in the drawers, 6-month and bigger clothes will go into bins so they’re ready. We did that with Sam’s clothes and it worked so well. Baby grows and all you have to do is pop off the top of the bin and grab bigger clean clothes!

We have a car seat and a pack and play in the back of the car. Those were the last two things we needed before Baby Girl is born. So she can come tomorrow. Really. Tomorrow would be fine. 🙂
